[INFORMATION] {APPEARENCE}

[[Seams' appearance beyond the masked looks is generally unknown.]]

Height: 5'3

Eyes & Hair: Her eyes are amber in color with a teal-blue that fluctuates in the amount shown, lightly downturned giving a somber appearance. Her hair is cut in a shaggy, layered way that frames her face and may be either blonde or brown depending on the identity. Two pieces are dyed pink, coming just over her ears.

Frame: Thin. Previous malnutrition has given her a smaller body than the average person.

Attire: The 'Seams' attire is one with varying looks, yet always complete with the metal mask. The tones are generally dark, allowing them better ease to blend in.

Jewelry: There is a metal cuff on Seams' right ear with the numbers '0424' imprinted into it. Her left ear has two gold hoops.

Markings: Their body is covered in scars of various origins and ages. Some are burns, others cuts. No matter where one was to look, something was marring the skin. Many of the scars are raised, or dip in, causing mild discomfort with specific textures. Notable are the two scars that carve a frown into their face, a gash on their left cheek, and a cut through their right eyebrow. Their left leg is a metal prosthetic.

Voice: Seams' voice when not modulated and distorted is a lighter tone with a vocal fry. The accent they carry is primarily Gothams, with a hint of Southern.

Laptop: Another thing of importance. While her desktop computer is more than enough, there's something she loves about her little laptop. It's small enough she can carry it around in a bag if she has to quickly move.

Abilities

Data Breaking: Seams' term for the ability. When she uses a device and searches for information, it has a way of popping up in a convenient manner.

Computer Manipulation: A natural affinity for the technology, with an innate intuition on how the web works. She can likely crack into any network given a bit of time.

[INFORMATION] {PRESENT DAY}

Finding sanctuary in a decrepit studio apartment, Seams’ days are spent online, pouring over forums, encrypted sites they should not have access to, and digital archives. She has a knack for uncovering things sometimes best left hidden– thrilling and oddly natural. These skills are used to help with peculiar cases, expose corruption, or simply keep tabs on Gotham's underbelly. If she’s low on cash and the crimes aren’t too severe, she’ll sell back the information for a hefty fee.-Cecily, meanwhile, is the owner of the Gotham City Animal Shelter. Known as 'Cece', she runs the shelter blog talking to the citizens and advertising animals for adoption. All previous employees and owners quit all at once, for reasons she refuses to elaborate on.-Seams is the owner of many pets with all the following:Raccoon: Her first pet, a brown tabby with a habit of speeding around the apartment only when she attempts to sleep.Possum: A literal possum, who is legally owned as an ambassador for the shelter. Luckily, he's awfully lazy and usually found lounging on the cat tree.Bird: Another cat gifted from a Lantern, she didn't think adopting out a maybe-alien cat would be the safest idea. He's a tuxedo cat that flies.Nocturne: A black kitten given up by a mysterious woman, She's an awful cute thing, Seams couldn't bear to not bring her home.The Family: The nickname given to her bunch of rats, with Phoebe, an auburn furred girl, Johnny, a blond furred boy, and six reddish-blond and auburn babies named Daisy, Lucy, Ruby, Lily, Olive, and Rosie.

[INFORMATION] {BACKSTORY}

Seams doesn’t remember much of how she ended up in Gotham; at least not originally, slowly the pieces have been brought back. She awoke in Gotham General days after Christmas, surrounded by strangers and not even knowing her own name. Through the doctors and nurses explanations, she learned a few facts: she was found barely conscious in an alley with a head injury and a mangled leg, with extensive identifying features, but no one to claim her. The damage that had been done to her leg was too far to save, leaving her with the majority of her thigh. They called her “Noel”, being found early on Christmas Day.The hospital staff did their best to provide care for the girl, yet she rarely ever spoke, and progress was slow. She could walk with crutches, but a prosthetic leg was still out of the question. They hadn’t yet known how volatile she could be, leaving her under watchful nurses and constant surveillance. In brief moments, she missed the smell of old books or the feeling of a delicate metal chain around her throat, but in the end, it was all meaningless.The girl could hardly read and hardly could write, they learned, and the concern on her recovery and mental state brought up talks of transferring her- she overheard, not sure where, not sure why, but knew the sound of it was wrong. It prompted her escape, a rare time during a shift change when she wasn’t watched, when they felt like they could have some breathing room at last.Blue mask over her face and crutches beneath her arms, it was almost too quick. The Gotham maze of streets quickly grew confusing, even when she did her best to memorize. Her own name came from the first few weeks out on the streets. With all the scars, someone joked that she looked like she was “held together at the seams”. The nickname stuck.

The Pomeroys originate in the town of Roseville, Georgia
Tony and Blair started as high school sweethearts who began talking their sophomore and junior year. Unlike most young relationships they found it fairly steady; their families approved as did the community, making it a comfortable thing. The two got engaged during Blair's high school graduation, with a marriage the coming September and their first daughter the next April. Some townsfolk believe the wedding was quite the rushed affair with the timing of it all, but for the Pomeroys, the gossip was all but drowned out by their newest arrival.To keep up with their growing family, Tony ended up as the town handyman, fixing anything the townsfolk threw at him and learning how to fix anything he didn’t yet know how to. Blair took on a traditional housewife role, involving herself deeply with the community and church while raising her kids.A few years passed, and the Pomeroys had grown from three to five, with Eloise, Anthony Jr., and Florence. Eloise was a smart, bookish child who did well in school and never gave her parents much trouble, while Anthony gave his parents a run for their money at times. He preferred the woods over being cooped up in a room, often wandering around the town from the end of school until dusk. With Florence being younger, she usually found herself stuck at her mother's side whenever she didn’t manage to sneak out with her brother. Their youngest took more after her brother than her sister, earning them the matching nicknames Ant and Fly.Just before Florence’s sixth birthday, she had gone missing after a day out with Tony, with the two parents apathetic about their own missing child. Eloise and Ant were distressed but put off, causing a rift between parent and child. The two grew closer, while outsiders would say they were simply withdrawn due to the disappearance of their sister. Even among the community, there was no fuss about the missing girl. It was a mystery that was quickly shut away to keep up the guise of the normal god-fearing farming town. The older townsfolk ignored it, but the younger ones always had the missing girl lingering in the back of their minds.While the whereabouts of Florence were left in the past, it originally began when one of the church members took notice of her unusual eyes; these were the signs of a metahuman child, which the town's religious ways inherently rejected. It was seen as a curse, rather than some random fluke. The parents were slowly worn down to let the girl be adopted out and let go. They agreed after months of hounding, not understanding the full extent of what they had given their youngest away for. It was far from adoption.By the time Ant was eighteen and had just graduated high school, and Eloise was twenty-two and having just received her certifications and degree in public health, a sudden house fire had taken the lives of both parents. While officials ruled out foul play due to the electrical fire, the townsfolk began spreading the word that it was, in fact, Eloise who caused the flames, due to her apathy towards the situation. By proxy and family relation, Ant was included in this.This only gave the two incentive to leave town, starting new lives in Gotham where Eloise worked at the Health Department in their public relations, and Ant being the thing that he is, drifted around for a couple of years before settling on EMS work.

Maelle: A girl with light red, almost blonde hair (that she will insist is blonde, not red). Her eyes are a stark light blue, so much so they almost appear colorless in the right lighting. She's lightly tanned with a freckled face and a septum piercing. Maelle tends to wear more alternative clothing full of layers to combat the cold of her hometown.
Hilighter: A speedster known to wear shades of pink from head to toe, hair included. The outfit is nothing official compared to other heros, but it gets the job done on a limited budget. Her pants are lined with pockets always full of candy, given out to adults and children alike.Present Life: A French-Canadian college student and Candymaker from Parica, Canada, who lives an average day-to-day life. Her friends and family notice her uncanny ability to complete work awfully quickly, but just chalk it up to hard work and dedication.Backstory: Maelle grew up with an all around normal life; her parents owned a candy store that had been in the family for generations, and she grew up knowing she’d be the one to follow through as well, being an only child. She never had siblings, with her parents being hyper-aware of their child’s whereabouts after an incident when she was small.Just at the age of four Maelle had disappeared from the park her parents had taken her to, causing a search all throughout the neighboring areas. She was lucky to have been found within 48 hours, but nobody was ever quite sure how she would have been affected by it, or if anything had changed with her.Of course, everything was thought to be normal until Maelle, nearly eighteen, woke up wondering why everything felt so slow around her. Finding out she could move at a superhuman speed was just something she learned to live with; it was useful, and she was a busy girl. There were no questions asked, and she uses the power to both make her life more convenient and help others out with the name Hilighter.Abilities: GOTTA GO FAST

ANTHONY
The Reckless
Full Name: Anthony Joseph Pomeroy
Nickname: Ant, Pomeroy (At work)
Race: Human
Birthday: 10/31/02
Pronouns: He/Him
Age: 24
Ethnicity: White
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Homosexual
Height: 6’
Occupation: EMS
Likes: Long runs, reading, art history, dive bars, listening to people talk.Dislikes: Writing, waking up late, puzzles, the sound of cicadas.Description: An average sized man with a decent build, he works out often. He has curly brown hair with a vague red twinge and amber colored eyes that take a golden look. Both his ears are pierced with a hoop through them, and above each hip bone is the same tattoo mirrored, a snake with a sword through it.

Backstory: Coming to Gotham from a small town right out of high school with his older sister, Ant had no plan, just a want to get away and a sister that he loved but thought was far too overbearing for his own good. He bounced around from job to job, working late night shifts in warehouses, fast food, cheap night security, and anything else that he could find. All these late jobs let him be friendly with sketchy folk, which was how Anthony had been invited to his first underground fighting match. With his build and his eye on money, he was easily swept up with not just watching, but matches of his own. No names asked, cash matches, it wasn’t pretty, but he was finally focused.He stayed in longer than he should’ve, running himself down with the injuries, exhaustion, and feeling that he was just burning up time rather than focusing on a future. There was a turning point one night when paramedics had to be called, and while watching, he made the impulsive decision to change the course of his life and go to school to become a paramedic instead. Staying calm under pressure translated easily, as did his focus in high-stress situations. While he still hangs around the underground fights, it’s only on the sidelines as a medic to ensure nobody else goes back into the ring at their own detriment.

Yet with her apparent charm and smooth way with words, Ellie found herself as the face of the Health Department, being the spokesperson of the establishment during Gothams many crisis' and ensuring minimal panic from the public.
